Go forth and fill your libraries with media.
Seriously, thanks to everyone for being so amazing and patient. You are the reason I love Vox.
If you could only drink one beverage for the rest of your life (not including water), which one would you choose?
well, duh. beer. woodstock inn pigs ear to be more specific.
I was just told that the Amazon Conduit will be fixed by tomorrow. I will post here as soon as I get word that it's back up and running.
I know this has been frustrating and I am sorry there wasn't more I could do to make it less so. I really appreciate your patience though.
Cheers,
Bad news. As many of you have probably noticed, the Amazon Conduit was not fixed in the last week's release. Unfortunately, there was an undetected bug that is preventing the conduit from working.
We are working on this bug fix and hope to have the Conduit back up and running this week.
I will keep you posted.
Thank you for being so patient.

If you could be fluent in any language (that you don't currently read or speak), which one would it be?
i currently read and can speak some french - but it's broken up canadian french and i'm NOT fluent... that being said, i think i'd like to be fluent in french. i'd also love to learn gaelic - gaining a fluency in that is debatable because it's not really something written or spoken that much any longer (in my part of the world at least)
The Amazon Conduit will be working again on October 15, 2009. Thank you to everyone for your patience.
Have a great weekend,
daisy, Team Vox
In my last Team Vox post, I let you know that we're aware that the Amazon conduit is broken and that we're working to fix it. Many of you want to know when it's going to be fixed and I'm so sorry I haven't gotten back to you about that sooner.
Unfortunately, I don't have an exact date to give you, but rest assured, the Amazon conduit will be fixed in the coming weeks.
In the meantime, I'm about to finish my latest book and I could use a few suggestions as to what to read next, so... if you don't mind, let me know in the comments what's on your nightstand and/or what book you think I absolutely must read next.
Thanks! :)
Some of you may have noticed that right now you cannot add books from Amazon to your Vox library. Giving people a glimpse into what's on your night stand is important to many of you, so I just wanted to reassure you that we are doing our best to get this bug fixed. I'll keep you posted.
So sorry for the inconvenience.
Hope you have a great weekend!

Hey everyone! A couple of people have been asking what I've been up to since I made the Big Scary Move, and Mossy actually suggested a blog doowhacky, which I guess I can do, considering I have 15min to spare before I head to class. (Hmmm I really need to find a new word to use besides doowhacky, now that I'm a "writer" and all.)
So in my first week of Sydney, I haven't exactly made any new friends, but I got back in touch with my mate Lingsi who has awesome taste in music and loves live music! So we've got a couple of gigs coming up soon that we're hitting up. I can't believe how many awesome venues there are in Sydney and most of them are really close to where I'm living.
I've also got a fair few students lined up for English tutoring, which will definitely help the money problem while I search for a "real" job, and I've got work experience lined up with a small publishing company that wants to eventually employ me, once they can afford to. And my new boss knows so many people in the industry she's also looking out for bookshop jobs for me!! Sydney is insanely well-connected.
Uni at UTS is 5min down the road from where I'm staying, and I my homework is to read books so I can't complain! Well, I'll complain once the actual work starts. But I'll still love it so it's all good.
Been eating lots of awesome new food, and lovin Leanne's Korean dishes! Plus I get to flex my cooking arm, as it were, and I haven't burned their kitchen down yet.
Amara, let your mum know I'm making some great connections here if she still wants to get her book published.
But most of all, I'm missing all my friends. So call, visit, and let me know I'm missing out on in ole Brissytown.
x

Oh P.S: Great news! Kelvin has decided he doesn't want my old room after all! Which means I don't have to worry about people going through all my stuff and throwing things out. Huzzah!
P.P.S: I found this awesome comic series in the city based on possibly the best book ever written! Goes down as the number one thing I will buy as soon as I get some dough.
